Errrr well I cant say it was the most eventful day really, although that is not to say that I failed, as it was a happy day. I was very happy to see that my clay cross has completely dried in one piece, I decided to give it one more day to make sure and then we are going to put it in the Kiln tonight
(Day 33).
Oh I had quite a fun time spending ludicrous amounts of money on art materials, with the big end of year order. Still got a lot to spend though!
Had a nice evening watched a really good film called 'Filth' based on the Irvine Welsh book of the same name which I had read and really enjoyed, I didn't know if James McAvoy would be evil enough to play the main character but actually he was brilliant, I think the best I ve ever seen him. The film was a very good adaptation of the book.
Then I watched the film 'Her' Oh my lordy that has to be the worst film I have seen this year, well I say seen I didn't get half way through it until I felt too nauseous and angry to continue. Why should such a story be included on a 'Happiness' blog you may ask? Well, I very nearly had to go and see it at the cinema with Heeji, but seeing as we are on a mission to find the ultimate cinema, this particular film had no fancy seat options whatsoever, so Heeji went with her friend, and we went to the X-men instead (RESULT!) So I felt relieved and happy to have not been trapped in a cinema, having no escape from the infliction of such a sickening film, to the point where every single line was cheesy and vomit inducing. For those of you that are unaware of the film it is Joaquin Phoenix in the future having just broken up with his wife, he then falls in love with his computer operating system, who has the voice of Scarlett Johansen!!! Need I go on? The film is then a soppy interchange between the man and his computer and they even have sex. Anyways one of the most spectacular things about the film is that it was directed by a man, this film should not be attempted to be watched by men, it is a 'chick flick' of the most grotesque proportions. I just found out he also directed 'Where the Wild Things Are' A film I accidentally took my son to and was so bad I actually had to stare at the ceiling with my fingers in my ears, so Spike Jonze I will never accidentally watch any of your shite films ever again, and I am so happy to have dodged the cinema bullet, especially in bog standard seating!
