What an amazing Day!! Woke up in a complete state of excitement again, but this time after having had a good nights sleep. Went to meet Heeji by the river, we had a nice walk along the river, it was so sunny but very windy so we decided to turn off the river down one of the canals, we found a beautiful sheltered place to sit and drink our coffees in the warmth of the sun. Learnt the word Oorro which means Duck! Then we held hands for a little bit. We carried on along the canal towards the world cup stadium, without really knowing where we were going, then we climbed a little mountain, that had a beautiful viewing platform over the city and the river Han. Then we went off the beaten track and into the forest, and we came across this little glade where there was some sun loungers, it was a bit like being in some sort of amazing dream. Then we went down the hill and got a taxi back to Hongdae, and went to the nice Hawaiian restaraunt that has amazing bbq and a beautiful beer garden, that is like being transported away from the craziness of the busy streets of Hongdae. I am so glad I flipped a coin to decide whether to go away all weekend, because the coin said no, and I had the best long weekend. Anyways today is Day 11, Thank the lord for Buddha (is that allowed?) As its his Birthday today and so we have the day off, the sun is shining and I'm feeling very happy!
A superb Existentialist quote for the day that sums up Day 10 -
The highest and most beautiful things in life are not to be
heard about, nor read about, nor seen but, if one will, are to be lived.
