Day 40

Woah, Sorry folks I cant believe I haven't written in here for a whole week. Its been a crazy week I guess, and theres been plenty of fun moments, although I may have to make some days a bit brief to get me back on track. I guess the past few weeks I keep on being free during period 3 and I just go and sit in the cafeteria and write my blog over a pizza and a cinnamon bagel, but we ve had exam week since last Wednesday, so there is no real structure to ones day. Anyways Day 40 was Wednesday, spent most of the day trying to prepare for a young Art teacher called Jihye who was coming to visit the school to talk about my curriculum as she was starting to teach IB and IGCSE next year and was really anxious about it. I hadn't realised that we are actually one of the only school's in Seoul that teach the IB diploma in Visual Art, so I have inadvertently become the expert as many schools are starting to teach it. Anyways it was really useful to write up all my curriculum stuff as it needed doing, as we have to do it for school, although I knew that it was actually going to be read by someone so it actually made sense, whereas usually its just another pointless job of many, teachers are so often made to do. Anyways after school we had a Fine Arts End of year party, and I was ceremoniously handed over the baton of head of department, although I said we wouldn't all be able to fit in my flat for a party next year. After that I went back to my flat and Heeji said she would pop round with dinner, which was a lovely surprise, although did mean I had to clean and tidy the flat like a mad man! Still we watched some IT crowd episodes and it was lovely evening.
